Interchange and Diversity South Join Forces to Strengthen Disability Support Across Perth and Peel Regions
2 December 2024
We’re thrilled to announce that Interchange and Diversity South have merged, combining our expertise and passion to create a stronger, more sustainable presence in the disability sector.
This merger marks a significant milestone for both organisations. By joining forces, we’re able to offer more opportunities for people with disability to live fulfilling lives. Together, we will continue to champion the rights of people with disability, create a larger welcoming workplace, and foster an inclusive community where everyone belongs.
A Shared Vision for Empowerment
Interchange and Diversity South are both experienced, and values led not-for-profit organisations with over 30 years of experience in supporting people with disability and their families. We share a deep commitment to ensuring that every person we support is empowered to make choices about their own life, with dignity and respect.
As a united organisation, we will continue to deliver quality disability services that reflect our core values of Belonging, Individuality, Respect and Empowerment. We are focused on:
- Providing high-quality, safe and sustainable services to people with disability in the Perth, Mandurah, Peel and surrounding areas;
- Providing disability services including Social & Community Participation, Individualised Living Options, In-Home supports, Supported Independent Living, Support Coordination and Plan Management;
- Expanding our capacity to meet the needs and wants of people with disability and their families.
- Fostering a supportive and empowering workplace where our employees feel valued, skilled and equipped to make a difference.
Looking Ahead
While Diversity South has now joined with Interchange, it will continue to operate under its established name, retain its homes, and service delivery staff. Being powered by Interchange, Diversity South will increase its capacity to provide quality supports and services for people with disability to flourish in their communities with real connections and meaningful relationships.
We are committed to making the merger as seamless as possible. We will work carefully to achieve a smooth process for both the people we support and employees. Our priority will be to ensure we take a person centred approach and maintain our focus on people, services, quality and a good experience for everyone involved.
